The colours of autumn

Autumn is well in truely in season in Sakhalin. The trees have turned a wonderful rainbow of yellow, oranges and red. On a trip out of camp, i captured some grat photos of the changing colours of the forest.

I also found that a camp near ours has ski-dos. This was a very exciting finding, as i hiope to convince somebody that i need to take a spin out on one of those once the snow has settled in.

Speaking of snow, it snowed! Yes first snow has come and gone. We had one day of very cold weather (-10 deg i think), and that night the snow fell from the heavens. I woke up to a white wonderland, and was ready to build a snow man but it all melted before i could even finish his feet! No more snow since.

Breakfast in Russia can be unique experience. Today at the hotel they were serving up sushi, mini pizzas and french fries. I kindly asked for a bowl of cereal.

Thats all, just a short post as life continues on Sakhalin.

Steve
